Moving Pixels

This page is related to RISC OS based computers. If you don't know what that means, go away... . Moving Pixels was originally formed as a CPC related group. Parts of this group are active for RISC OS since 1994.

Software by me (Face Hugger of Moving Pixels):

• Jewels: This was my first game for RISC OS. I simply wrote this Columns-like game to learn BBC Basic. (v1.02) (size: 9k)
• Gameboy Emulator: This is the original, singletasking Gameboy Emulator for RISC OS, including source code. (v0.59) (size: 92k)
• CPC-Emulator 1.10: Well, i know that nobody is interested in CPC emulation (why? it was a really cool machine!). But my aim is still to make this CPC emulator the best around over all systems. New version is coming soon!!! (well, a few months is what i call 'soon'... ;o) (v1.10) (size: 294k)
  CPC-Emulator 1.21: This is the improved but unfinished version of the CPC emulator. Multitasking mode is not optimized and is to slow for RISC PCs to reach 100%. Includes the whole project source codes without any documentation how to use it... :o) (v1.21) (size: 711k)
  
• Here's my Ultimate Megademo from 1992, downloadable as a DSK file for CPC emulators. (size: 153k)
• WimpApp: Aim of this small basic program is to make frontending easier. Your singletasking custom routines are held outside the main program which handles the Wimp stuff. (v0.02) (size: 9k)
• SpriteDemo: This is an unfinished sprite-engine demonstration of a game that was canceled after Phoebe was canceled... Risc PC only! (size: 395k)



• SnesEmu: This is my (unfinished) native SNES emulator for the RISC OS machines (Risc PC only!). I was not able to finish this project yet 'cause of my permanent lack of time... This release includes the source code. (size: 258k)

Software by Patrick Hinrichs (Fraggle of Moving Pixels):

• Spots: cool strategy game, Patrick's first one for RISC OS, i think (v1.6) (size: 235k)
• Puzznix: puzzle game, converted to RISC OS from his famous CPC version (size: 62k)
• Xylon Pro: cool shoot'em up, maybe a bit slow on non-SA machines... :o/ (v2.1) (size: 462k)
• Xylon II: cool shoot'em up, playable on ARM6... (v1.0) (size: 346k)
• Pactris: This game wasn't completly finished, there are some small bugs left. It's a combination of Pacman and Tetris! Ok, for one player it's a bit dull, but it makes lots of fun with two players. (size: 62k)
• Tetris: Gameboy Tetris conversion with the original sounds and two players!!! (v1.6) (size: 160k)
• Bubble Impact: Puzzle Bobble-like puzzle game. Cool graphix and gameplay (including two-player mode), test it! (v1.5) (size: 437k)
• TextConv: This is an easy-to-use PC-RISC OS text conversion with automatic type-recognition (v0.03ß) (size: 8k)
• Invaders: 1kByte Space Invaders written in BASIC!!! (size: 1k)
